Best characters ever
The single most annoying thing that I run into in books is when characters make decisions that don't make sense for that character to make, or just don't make sense for anyone to make. (Spoiler warning) My point is that characters like the demon lord and Ruyi's dad do do shitty things but they feel like real people when they do them. That is why this book is awesome, but it is also just a good book.

Grab this funtastic story. And explore Rue and Jin's world.
I absodamnlutely loved Twinned Destinies! Yeah, yeah I know that I've said something like that before, but what can I say, I just love good books! Plus I really love alchemy. And yeah I could almost kiss adastra339 for writing a one-off. Don't get me wrong series are great, but it's really nice to sometimes be able to read a fabulous book and say thank you... Ruyi and her brother Jin born twins, where Jin got everything along with a strong core, receiving the prophecy of a hero. Rue got nothing, just an empty space where her core should have been... she has to work hard if she wants the love and respect she so desires from others, even from her own father! She has to make her own fate! And ohhh what a deliciously devious ending evarrr.
It's simple go download the audiobook if you wanna find out how she goes about that! And btw Jessica Threet voice performance is a treat.

Fantastic
I was pleasantly impressed by everything about this book. The story was very well paced. The performance of voice actor was excellent.

Made it half way and decided to return
Story just didn't really click on this one, made it half way and decided to return. Savage Awakening though is a good series if you haven't read it.

DNF druggy brat
If your over 14, this book isnt for you. It's about a entitled druggy teenager who acts like some bratty high school girl who worries if she is popular enough with daddy issues. Always jealous of her brother and doing nothing but acting entitled.
Once she started becoming a drunk and the evil demon lord was a misunderstood hottie with a heart of gold I knew this was some dumb 14 year old YA romance. Not for me.

12 chapters in, around 5ish hours and I hate this book
There are very few books that I regret wasting my time and money on. But this one, the MC is the single most unlikeable person I have ever read about.
Even for a cultivation novel her family is cruel, or to lovey dovey.
the literal sexualization and weird ass relationship between the MC and the princess is, wrong.
everything about this MC makes me wish j could return this damned book and get my credit back.
