Women in charge

I wasn't sure about this book at first but after listening for awhile I got the story line. Role reversal is what it really is about. Women rule the mountain while men are the weaker sex. What I found disturbing was the women gave up their motherhood right if they bore a son. But coming in to the new era the new tribes have come to the understanding that what they were doing to the men is exactly what the men did to the women when the village was discovered many centurys ago. Alot to learn for everyone and hell to go through before everyone gets there. A lot of lives lost and lot of water under the bridge.
Very well read as well as a wonderful story.

I absolutely loved this book! What a great premise! Strong female characters who battle with vulnerability. Loved it! My attention never wandered.

Great Read

Tribe of Daughters was a good read by Kate L. Mary. Deep in the mountains, a matriarchal society has thrived for the last seventy years. In this village men only exist in order to serve women and if they defy, they are severely punished. Wilderness has ever only known this life, when Jameson is brought in from outside to be her husband. A group of outsiders threatens everything and will hopefully change everything for the best. I enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read more by the author.

Thought provoking reversal on male dominance

This was a well written story of a society that develops in seclusion after a major cataclysm has greatly changed how people survive in the future. The cataclysm is only history for this story and provides the background for what happened to create this Tribe of Daughters.
This story occurs 70 years after this village develops. Its rules and structures are well established and understood by all the daughters. We learn of these events and rules from an outsider who is brought into this village.

Very well written and well read. Interesting transposition of dominance in society. A thoughtful exposition from the under side.

Great Adventure Fantasy

Story opens well with a surprising plot change that grows to maturity in a very smooth way. Intimate situations were handled tastefully. Narration was very well preformed. Vocal pressure was used in a professional manner.
I recommend this audiobook for ages 16 and older due to some adult situations and violence

Queen of Dystopia

Kate L Mary reigns. She comes up with yet another variation of dystopian nightmares. This time however it's the women that get the best deal for a change. The story kept my interest all the way through and I enjoyed it very much.

How do you create these amazing worlds?! I loved the story and I loved the characters. I felt connected to so many. I sensed their pride, fear and sense of community. I especially loved the connection to another series! Very clever!!!
