Für einen kurzen Zeitraum haben die Haudegen der Avatar richtig Schwein - immerhin dürfen sie Fredderick, den Ratsassistenten des venusianischen Kollektivs zu einer Ansprache vor den Vereinten Nationen kutschieren. Nicht ganz uneigennützig, denn der hochintelligente Vierbeiner bringt eine experimentelle Technologie an Bord - eine Technologie, die ihnen hilft, einen ganz besonderen Auftrag zu erfüllen. Ohne dessen speziellem "Honorar" wären sie nicht nur pleite, sondern hoch verschuldet.
Nach "Mutation - Alte Freunde und profitable Kriege" folgt nun mit "Todessprung" der zweite Band der Avatar Reihe. Auch wenn diesmal nicht das Schicksal einer ganzen Welt auf dem Spiel steht, wird Spannung groß geschrieben - und auch Action sowie der typische Humor kommen nicht zu kurz. Eine einzigartige Mischung aus knackigen Dialogen, atemberaubenden Kampfszenen, spannenden Ermittlungen und vielen bizarren Begegnungen erwartet die zu Recht anspruchsvolle Leserschaft.
