Tirant lo Blanc es una novela medieval escrita en el siglo XV por escritor valenciano Joanot Martorell. Fue escrita entre los años 1460 a 1464, aunque no fue publicada sino hasta el año 1490, por la Editorial Martí Joan de Galba.
La obra narra las aventuras del caballero Tirant lo Blanc, quien sirve a varios señores y damas en diferentes lugares de Europa. La novela se divide en diferentes secciones, incluyendo los Episodios Amorosos, que se centran en las aventuras amorosas de Tirant, muestran la tradición del amor cortés de la literatura medieval, mientras que también desarrollan la trama principal de la novela. Two little girls stand with their heads bowed in my living room. I’m told they’re my granddaughters. Daisy is nine, and Alice seven. Daisy is the spitting image of her mother. This is the first time I’ve met them since my daughter and I fell out after she married that waste of space, Vince. They’ve come to live with me because their mother — my daughter — was murdered. In her own home while they slept close by. I think Vince killed her. But the police can’t prove it. I’ve always known he was no good. He treated my daughter like dirt. I said he’d cheat on her — but she wouldn’t listen.

Para aquellos que busquen la esencia del pasado
Este libro, a pesar de su antigüedad y que desafortunadamente no es muy conocido actualmente, es sin duda una de las mejores obras de su época, dado que muestra claramente que antaño los valores y las ideas realmente marcaban la forma de comportamiento de los individuos, donde la virtud y el honor era algo de mucha estima. Una buena traducción que manteniendo el estilo de aquel español antiguo junto a la voz excepcional del narrador, hacen de esta obra algo exquisito de leer o de oir.
