Do you have a regularly recurring beep in your ear? Do you hear a shrill whistling? Is there a rushing in your ears? Or is there a constant buzzing? Has your doctor diagnosed you with tinnitus? Tinnitus has many different causes and triggers. Tinnitus is often a secondary symptom of other physical problems such as tenseness in the jaw and neck area. However, medications, nicotine, alcohol and particularly stress are just as likely to trigger an annoying ringing in the ears.

For years Ryder Carroll tried countless organizing systems, online and off, but none of them fit the way his mind worked. Out of sheer necessity, he developed a method called the Bullet Journal that helped him become consistently focused and effective. Then it went viral. To his astonishment, Bullet Journaling is now a global movement. The Bullet Journal Method is about much more than organizing your notes and to-do lists. It's about what Carroll calls "intentional living": weeding out distractions and focusing your time and energy in pursuit of what's truly meaningful.

There is nothing more essential to our health and well-being than breathing. Yet, as a species, humans have lost the ability to breathe correctly, with grave consequences. Journalist James Nestor travels the world to figure out what went wrong and how to fix it. The answers aren’t found in pulmonology labs, as we might expect, but in the muddy digs of ancient burial sites, secret Soviet facilities, New Jersey choir schools, and the smoggy streets of São Paulo. Nestor tracks down men and women exploring the hidden science behind ancient breathing practices.

The Antidote is a series of journeys among people who share a single, surprising way of thinking about life. What they have in common is a hunch about human psychology: that it’s our constant effort to eliminate the negative that causes us to feel so anxious, insecure, and unhappy. And that there is an alternative "negative path" to happiness and success that involves embracing the things we spend our lives trying to avoid.

Palabras de esperanza. Gracias Julian por este libro y tu testimonio me ayuda muchísimo. Ojalá que muchos doctores y especialistas aprendan a conocer a sus pacientes con tinnitus y brinden el remedio no la negatividad.

ESSENTIAL listening for anyone with tinnitus
Julian Cowan Hill is a world-renowned tinnitus coach and therapist. He has worked with hundreds of clients for many years. He also had (yes, *had*) severe tinnitus for many years, and is now virtually tinnitus-free, so his perspective is very much one of empathy and understanding for what people with this condition are going through. This book condenses the wisdom of that experience into a very accessible format. If there is one core message of this book, it is this: tinnitus is not a problem of the ears, it is a problem of the nervous system. Yes, the initial trigger for tinnitus often is auditory in nature, but what perpetuates it, what makes it chronic, is 100% based in the nervous system. I am beginning to implement the guidelines in this book and I’m seeing results already, but I know it will be a years-long journey. At the end of the journey, I have no doubt I will be better than before I got tinnitus, because I am learning all the forms of self care, whose absence is part of the reason I got chronic tinnitus in the first place. If you are struggling with tinnitus, whether it’s been 10 weeks or 10 years, please listen to this audiobook. It can be life-changing, if you are open to implementing the advice he has to offer.
