In Depth Military Study

This thorough analysis debunks several common views, and takes the listener into the minds of Jackson and Lincoln. The horror of the many battles in these three days reminds us what is behind the over glorified images of war. I will be listening again.

Needs maps

This analysis of the beginning of Jackson's Valley Campaign provides a great overall analysis. However the very detailed examination of the battles of Front Ryal and Winchester cannot be followed very well unless you have a map in front of you as you listen. Since I listened while driving, I was lost much of the time.
