Warning! Cliffhangers
After 4 of these books I give up. More warning should be provided about the books being soap operas that leave you hanging after every book. I do not care for never ending stories which go on and on. Any story line - no matter How good - should be limited to three Max. Plus - way Too much time is the main character’s introspection. Wallowing in the muck of pointless angst, over and over again. Also - the narration might have been ok - except when it came to scenes of excitement or passion, and sounded more like a listing of progressive steps rather than heartfelt passion - or heat of the moment action scenes with fast paced excitement. After thinking that the elements that were intriguing in the first book would carry through to a satisfying and exciting end, I am giving up on the whole thing. It just isn’t worth my time. Maybe if the story had been condensed into only three books - OR if there might have been some type of satisfying solution between one book and the next - it might have been worth the time. Forcing the story to drag out to seven books just pushed that soap opera effect - where - at some point - most people just get irritated and say, “OHhh, good grief, why doesn’t she just SAY what is wrong and get it Over with!!”
