Book 6 OMG!

This book was amazing from start to finish. I always wondered what happened to Liana. This book was a major eye-opener and change my perspective on some of the characters like Sofia Volkov she still deserved what she got lol. The ending of this book made me cry. It was so emotional. OMG I just don’t have any other words, but it was just amazing. I don’t know where this series continues, but there’s so many characters that I still wonder about like the syndicator, Kiyan, Brogdan, the Popovs and especially that therapist lady. I really wanna know her backstory and get more insight as well as follow up on all the other families.

I hope we can continue to get more books. Keep up the good work. This was a great book 10/10!!!!

Riveting, Twisted & Emotional! Amazing Story & Narration🎧

Eva Winners never ceases to amaze and pens another mind-blowing and thrilling story with twists and turns that you never see coming. This story captivated my attention to where nothing else mattered except what was going to happen next. The world Winners created is complex, and she is the master of crossover characters from different series set in her mafia/organized crime world. This sixth book of the "Thorns of Omertà” series is Giovanni “Gio” Agosti’s and Liana “Lia” Volkov’s story, and it is a wild story filled with betrayal, heartbreak, vengeance, and love. Eight years earlier, Liana took her twin sister’s spot in a forced marriage to a cruel and vulgar man and she was stuck living a nightmare until someone freed her from that life. The only thing that kept her human, and continues to, was her adopted daughter, Amara, but she is ill and, to save her, she may lose her. Currently living in hiding, in plain sight, she vowed to never be a victim again and to get revenge on those who wronged her. Hearing Lia’s backstory and all she endured in those eight years was absolutely heartbreaking. Gio regretted not saving Lia from having to marry his uncle and after speaking with Louisa, who recently learned that Lia was alive, he said he would be the one to find her, which he does and wow, just wow, he got more than he bargained for. Lia is a broken shell of her former self, and she does not trust easily, if at all, but for Gio to save her not only from herself but others in their world, the only thing he could do to keep her protected is to marry her. It was great to watch these two navigate their relationship, getting to know each other and learning more about them and their place in their world. Winners weaved an intricate web of power players in the different families in her mafia world. I loved all the layers of this story and how it all plays out, with plenty of drama, angst, twists and turns, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. As always, the writing, plot and world building are incredible, as are the character growth and development. Eva Winners, thank you for another amazing story, the wild and emotional rollercoaster ride and those twists that blew me away.

🎧📚🎧 Gideon Frost and Mackenzie Cartwright deliver an amazing performance voicing these characters and delivering a perfect portrayal of each. Frost’s Gio was perfection, showcasing every aspect of his personality, from his cool-headedness to his caring and protective side. Cartwright was just as fantastic in Lia’s role, also grasping every aspect of her personality from her from her fierceness, strength and determination to her gut wrenching battles with her inner demons. Both were fabulous performing the roles of the secondary/side characters, too. They set the right tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions, their fears, and passion, having you to feel it all. These two made a great team, with voices and talent that complemented each other and their captivating performance elevates the already amazing story to another level. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to.

Favorite of all the Omertà books!

This book is so emotionally charged and bitter sweet! Finally we get to hear the final story of evil Sophia Volkof’s offspring. It paints Sophia in a bit of a new light as being “a result of her life’s circumstances” just as the choices Liana had to make were a result of her fight for survival. It’s all very tragic and I allow myself to give Sophia just a small amount of grace in spite of her actions. At this point in the series all the mafia families of the omertà syndicate and cartel are coming full circle so it’s also rewarding to have the story tie in to other books in the series. I really loved Gideon Frost as Giovani. His voice is so sexy and fits the character to a T. Mackenzie also did an outstanding job as Liana. I just thoroughly enjoyed and absorbed every minute of this book!

One of Eva's best.

I loved this story so much. It had everything you would want in a love story Mafia style. I highly recommend it. All of Eva's books are wonderful. If you want the whole story start with the first book in the reading order on Eva's website

Pretty good.

Have to admit I thoroughly disliked the twins. Louisa and Leanna. I kept thinking Kingston and Geovanni deserved better. It all worked in the end. Please is there a book about Kian Cortez? He appears in almost all the other books he sounds interesting enough to have his own story. The narrators did a great job.

reuniting

Gio and Lia, truly a masterpiece how Lia has suffer for the past 8 years and she had to sell her soul to survive in a world were woman are treat as nothing she survive by protecting and caring for a child that wasnt even hers. she goes underground to seek revenge toward the people who hurt her. she just missing one a woman she doesnt know her name inly that she calls her Mistress and because of the Mistress she loss the one thing that made her life happy while living in a life of hell.
Gio find out his father wasnt even his dad that Julia his mom had affairs for power. That she only care to rule and she hated that man rules she wanted to be powerful. so he take over the Cartel side of business and Omerta when louisa ask him to find Lia he help her and when he does he takes Lia to protect her because everyone will come after her for her role.
When Lia finally gets her revenge another secret is reveal and this will change Lia and Gio life and there future together. the secret of Emory father is reveal Which I do t remember if its reveal in her book. I really enjoyed the book there is happines laughter crying I knew i was going to love this book like I love Louisa and Kingston maybe because Im a twin.
