This is a beautiful story different from most, beautifully written, and beautifully performed. It is the depiction of lives we rarely get a glimpse of. I wholeheartedly recommend this gem of a novel.

I don't know what to compare it to, just read best friend forever by Jennifer Weiner which shows a similar friendship.tangled with envy and jealousy.but virtuous in the end.

The narrators could have had a more 1930s southern accnt. I had to keep reminding myself the story took place back in the 30s .

Awful! Don't waste your money
Boring, terrible narrator, awful characters. Just a complete waste. I just couldn't get into this book
