A roadmap to not forget but to remember, forgive and grow. I feel inspired having read this book. I think it is so brave for someone to speak truth about their life and all the successes and mistakes they have been through. There’s so much power and sharing one story in the hopes that somebody else can relate and see things in a different way.

I’m so grateful that Michael was able to help me grow in whatever way I needed by reading this book. At the end of the day Growing is being alive we all must strive to be better and be OK with making mistakes along the way. You don’t learn without screwing up. Easier said than done in this day and age of cancel culture and writing somebody off. This book is me hope that I can two one day forgive those who have hurt me. Thank you 🙏

Wasn't sure of this book was going to climax

This was a pretty good read. At first, the book starts off about the NFL and his career. It was a slow start. It wasn't until halfway through the book that I got the meat and potatoes. I really appreciate athletes speaking out and discussing issues close to their hearts. More athletes need to do this. They control the narrative, just like Colin Kaepernick. Good stuff.

I loved the book. inspirational in every since of the word. Worth the money, & I'll listen to this audio book many more times to come.

Yep, worth the time!

Very thoughtful, humorous and brutally honesJD Jackson knocks it out of the park again. I will let others know that this is something for black parents, black kids (especially those enthralled by sports) and absolutely anyone willing to listen. Time is short and valuable these days. This is worth the time! Thanks.

All Men are created equal. All lives matter. I am from a military family. All Men/Women should work together much better. I agree with the author about the importance of forgiveness.

I understand

As a black man in America I completely understand where Michael was coming from with his experiences. I love this book and would recommend it to all. Hopefully it could get through to some of the privileged.

A must read for everybody It's very inspirational

I love this book from start to finish Michael Bennett brings up real issues that are going on in the world today and ways that we can solve them I think all ages should read this book and really take in what he says. In could change the world. Growing Up as a young black man in Washington I have experienced many sides of racism . And have also experienced some really great people who don't see color but see the human being that you are. He also brings up great ways to respond to racism and to not fight violence with violence I just love this book great read and a must read.

I'm a veteran of the USCG and have been a Seahawks fan for life and the moment you took that knee during the national anthem to stand up for social justice and inequality and for what you truly believe the first thing I had to do is get your Jersey for that year even though I just bought a Russell Wilson one. I wanted to have those uncomfortable looks and discussions out and about in town to educate the people who can't get past you kneeling during the national anthem. I knew it was never about disrespecting the Military and the people who put down their lives for this country. Your book has truly inspired me!!! I just want to say thank you!!!!!]
