Once a small-town journalist, now publicist to an international rockstar, Richard (or sometimes Violet—she's genderfluid) has his work cut out for him. Ash has just taken up a career as a consulting detective, and they might just be the one to figure out how everything is connected. Or maybe it's up to the rockstar's therapist who moonlights as a true crime podcaster, or to the lawyer for the prosecution on Violet's girlfriend's case, who is going into acting upon losing their seat in parliament.

Lyrically Twisty Who-done-it! Narrator -- Wow!!

Listening to Merlin's "These Flowers Might be Ours" as read by the actor Vico Ortiz (Jim in the series" Our Flag Means Death") is an absolute delight. The sharply insightful humor sprinkled throughout brings London to life. Passages describing Violet's inner memories sing with meaning in the voice of Vico. The description of the dead man's last meal is worth listening to on its own. Treat yourself and get this book!!
