Katie—eight years sober and immersed in motherhood—is frustrated with her husband’s late nights and her own loneliness. She’d love to fill the gaps with her art, but she doesn’t have much time.
Suddenly, Brandon is offered a golden opportunity: taking over his parents’ architecture firm. The catch? It’s in Chicago. But when Katie’s sobriety is put at risk, he makes a quick decision to transplant his family to suburban Leade Park, Illinois.
Katie begrudgingly gives Brandon two months to persuade her that this move will be better for everyone. If he can’t, she’s going to pack up the kids and go back. With or without him.
With the kids in school, she’ll have time for her art, and they’re finally reunited with friends and family. It should be easy to convince her, right?
But the familiar pull of the job and the unfamiliarity of a new place have them slipping further away from each other with each passing day.
Can Katie and Brandon blend their visions and design the life they want? Or will they choose to go their separate ways?

The Write Choice
Married with two kids, Katie and Brandon’s marriage is strained. Between Brandon trying to figure out work life balance and Katie battling her own struggles with sobriety, loneliness and taking care of kids. When a chance opportunity of taking over his parents’ architecture firm he jumps at the chance, catch is…it’s in Chicago.
I just can’t put into words how much I really enjoyed this story. I was hooked from the very beginning. The struggles that Katie and Brandon are so relatable that I connected with them right away.
I loved having the previous characters from the other books present in this one. The found family built through friendships was so special and sweet.
This is the third book in the Leade Park series.
I would recommend this series and her other works, Allie is becoming one of my favorite authors.

Loved the dual narration and relatable characters!
I enjoyed the last installment in the Leade Park series! I’m sad to be leaving these characters, but loved all their stories. I found myself relating to Katie in this one, being a stay at home mom myself. I love the commitment and love between Katie and Brandon. It was so sweet. A great happy ending to a series I adored!
