Well-organized and well-written book that illuminates the perspectives and motivations of China, and how it's currently interacting with the rest of the world.

Excellent Book on China Expansionism

This is a current and comprehensive presentation of China plans and coordinated and sustained initiatives to achieve global economic, political and military dominance and to displace the power of the USA and other current world-order leading countries. Areas discussed cover sovereignty goals and actions in Hong Kong, Taiwan and the South China Sea and expansion into the Arctic, Belt and Road Initiative, digital silk road initiative, and attempted inroads into dominance of semiconductor design and production. Strategy and actions to dominate technologies such as 5G, AI, and their international standard-setting committees are presented.
Offsetting actions of the Trump and Biden administrations are summarized, and opportunities for future alliances and actions to offset economic and geopolitical coercion by China without precipitating cold/hot war are presented.
The book is well written and narrated.

CIA PROPAGANDA

This is a disappointment. The book has an entirely western-centric worldview and comes straight from the CIA playbook intentionally or otherwise. Scholars and Academics simply can not understand objectively in the west.
