one of the best fantasy novels I've read in a while

I've spent my life reading fantasy and sci-fi. they all seem to fall into tropes, this one does not it's magic system alone is one that is beautiful and it's simplicity a balance for balance sake. even the struggle itself is to find a balance that is something that is severely lacking in our world.

The Narrator is Delightful

A really different, and engaging story. The Narrator is really expressive and delightful. Overall, a great listen, highly recommend

What this 30 something with audhd was looking for in an adult fantasy novel

If I could give it 10 stars I would. A very unique magic system and well thought out world.

Tears and Laughter

A truly delightful Rollercoaster of emotions. The story was well written with excellent pacing. the audio performance was a superb compliment aa well.

This is so healing

The first kiss scene between Sava & Khana is so sweet & healing. I also appreciate how SA/RA is mentioned & utilized in this story, just enough to be pertinent & it isn’t explicit in the slightest. I also love a good found family story & this 100% is one of them.

Entertaining and kept me hooked

Though a lot of the themes of the novel are pretty dark - most of what would be the toughest to read through was more off-page and that made it easier to digest. Enjoyed the plot and the growth of the confidence and bravery in the main character for someone dealing with so much trauma as well as seeing them finding their place in the world. Touch of romance though it was not the main focus which is nice to balance out all of the fear and war the main character is going through. I blew through the audio book - the narration was well done and captivating.
