The book explains how recent developments in computer science along with evidence from physics, astronomy, chemistry, and biology reveal that there is more to the universe and ourselves than most people realize.
Evidence from physical science reveals how the physical laws and properties of the universe work together to ensure the sustainability of matter, energy, and life.
Evidence from life science explains why human beings are so different from all other forms of life on Earth. Human attributes include "controlled mental processes" which allow us to interact with the world in a deliberative and controlled manner.
Recent developments in computer science reveal how computer software, being non-material, must work together with physical hardware to be useful. In a similar fashion, human beings also require physical body “hardware” to use our mental and physical faculties such as speech, memory, reason, perception, and will.
The book is written in a way so that no scientific background is needed to understand it. Fascinating aspects of our world, the universe, and ourselves are revealed. It becomes clear that there is far more to our existence than meets the eye.
