These 1028 poems, grouped as 10 ‘Circles’ (mandalas), have variously been called hymns, poems or songs by Sanskrit scholars. The Rik (so pronounced by the ancient Angirases clans, or Seer-Priest families) was an experiment with sound. The emphasis is always on sounding the words perfectly. The focus tends to be on the ideas rather than on the authors in Vedic literature, they are largely religious in nature, reflecting the world view and spiritual preoccupations of ancient India.

Graciously Informative/Insightful.
Thank you very much for this short free audiobook on the Vedas, it was very informative and excellently and professionally done/presented. The most lasting thing that left an impression on my experience of existence/psyché was that the Puranas are, in the most perfected Hindu perspective, greater or better than the Vedas. Thank you 🙏🏻.

Computer generated voice isn’t as impactful as a good narrator. I need to re-listen b/c I feel like nothing sunk in.
The overview was solid but could benefit from reinforcing the concepts via more practical or even historical examples to support the concepts
