Nothing Better

Sexy vampire combined with sexy Marines with loyalty but no inhibitions. I loved it. I would love to read more about these characters.

Military men and Vampires....Wonderful!

Loved, loved, loved this story! This is my first book by Max Vos and I have to say that I am super impressed and I am looking forward to reading more of his works. The story of Bronson and Sarge (David) was heartwarming and loving. The story has mystery, intrigue, violence, passion, love, sadness, vampires, and hot sex!! The sex did not overpower the story, which is great from beginning to the end. I want to join the ranks of the V Unit ;-). Greg Boudreaux's narration was excellent and added so much to the story. Definitely would recommend!!!

Great audiobook!!

This was a story that kept me interested until the end! Awesome narration. Had some gruesome stuff at the end that I wouldn’t normally make a choice to read but it went with the story and I found I didn’t mind it. Highly recommend.

Fantastic

This is one of best written Vampire books I have come across in some time. Although I'm not into the sharing dynamic, the scenes were thought out flowed well with the characters and story. I would love to see this become a series. The narrator also did a fantastic job. Thank you for an awesome read.

Sarge - for being a bad ass, he's so lovable.

What about Greg Boudreaux’s performance did you like?

Greg Boudreaux is fantastic as always. I've never listened to one of his performances and walked away disappointed.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

There were a few moments that made me cringe and get teary eyed. Well worth it for the story.

I've read and listened to tons of vampire books and I can say this was the first of its kind. Max Vos is a tremendous author and he really did well with this story!

Sexy and Gritty

Enjoyed this book featuring hot vampires with heightened sensory and sexual drive, an attempted coup against the Queen and her judicial Committee of vampires, and the human journalist who helped defuse a serious problem for the United States Government and the V Unit in Afghanistan. There's lots of detailed sex and quite a few horrifically brutal scenes in this book, so be prepared. Greg Boudreaux's narration was fantastic, as always.

Good vampire story

if you like vampire stories, this is a good one. there's love and blood and the good and the bad. justice is served in the end. Greg Boudreaux did a great job narrating.

It was entertaining

I enjoyed it for the most part though I lose interest in m/m authors who reduce gay romance to cheap sex with multiple partners. And then there's the idea that gay men are spoiled brats that need to be treated like children instead of the grown, vital people they are. Still if you just need something to past the time, this was alright, though I probably would not have bought it if Greg Boudreaux/Trembly was not narrating. I adore him.
