Great writing, intriguing plot.
So many strands to identify with. I loved Bee’s journey as a new mother. Very real. Vivid imagery to immerse and escape. I’m a twin and the relationships; husband/ wife, friends, brother/ sister all realistic. Love the contrast between maternal roles in the workplace and at home. Thank you for this piece of literature!

Slow Burn Character Driven Mystery
This was a very slow burn mystery that was focused mainly on the characters. The story flips between 1987 and 2011 with various POVs primarily between the mothers of 2 neighboring families and their children. There is not a lot of action but the writing definitely pulled me in and I felt engaged from start-ish to end. I am looking forward to listening to more books from this author.

Painfully slow and dull.
I couldn’t finish this as the story moved at a snail’s pace. The author goes on and on about mundane details. The characters were not compelling enough for me to even care about them. A total slogfest.
