Now that the Tower of Aetherius has been cleared, Aetheria, daughter of Aetherius and Nyx, has another tower to climb: the Tower of Moros, god of doom. Luckily, the Challenger of Aetherius is more powerful than ever, armed with her Astrum Nexus gloves, forged by Vulcan himself, and all the treasures of the legendary city of Nova Azura, which currently burns inside her...among other things. And, oh yeah, that means some voices in her head. (Don't worry about it).
With the help of her soul-witch lover, Aoibhe, and dragon-cat, Arkaziel, Aetheria is ready for her next quest. But the second tower of ten can't be conquered through force alone. Aetheria may be able to eat gods now (sorry, Poseidon), but the problems of the material realm can't all be solved in this manner. She'll also need her diplomatic skills—and not just to make peace between the human realm and the Prince in Purple.
Aetheria, Aoibhe, and Arkaziel—along with a new companion—will find the mysteries of the towers aren't so simple to decode. But together, they'll make it through.

Meandering
I really wanted to like this book. The first one was excellent. Unfortunately, it just feels like this constant cycle of killing something, get new god power, find out about new god, repeat. The cosmology/theology of the world is too abstract and flies by before it's really ingested.
The audio is difficult. Whoever mastered this didn't learn about normalization. in a single conversation, It's a constant too loud for one character and two quiet for the other. Super difficult to have a single volume level even after trying to tweak the equalizer.
