“The things we leave behind...for our future generations. God help them.”
So says a man named Davis, an aspiring writer who, after losing almost everything and everyone he has ever valued or loved, decides to write one last story before the Covid virus strain of 2023 claims his life as well - or the power and internet fails, whichever comes first.
What he doesn't realize is that his last story may very well save the lives of future generations to come - make them think about the things and people that are most important - and pave the way for a better world, with the lust for power, greed, and money all but forgotten, and God giving the people of Earth a second chance....

The things we leave behind
Excellent short story of a man looking back on what happened when government and citizens ignored Covid 19 protocals as he is dying of Covid 5.Read it,let it sink in. Victor Warren was a wonderful narrator.I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Pandemic literature has arrived and its great!
I was wondering how long it was going to take covid 19 pandemic literature to hit and it has arrived. I found the authors piece to be very insightful and quite gripping. While
A short it expounds on the virus where it went and the authors attempts to write one last masterpiece before the internet is gone and before there is no One left to read his works. Very cool short story. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator or publisher

Loved!
This was a great short story. The narrator did an awesome job especially when he read the part when the guy's cat climbs into bed to be near his owner. I could feel the emotions there.

Could be a reality
This is a story that could be a reality. In that alone it’s a bit scary. Covid does continue to mutate. We can all get vaccinated but we just have to hope it will work.
Victor Warren was a great narrator for this story.

The Things We Leave Behind
I really liked this story about life and loss due to a pandemic... well, basically this pandemic. It was not jarring or bitter, it was a short, easy read that walked through the end of survival and moments of remembrance. Take or leave the authors note, but the actual story here is good and very well written.
This book was given to me for free at my request for my voluntary and unbiased review.
