The Tao Te Ching is a Taoist philosophical treatise. Lao Tzu, a great Ancient Chinese philosopher and teacher, is considered to be the author of this book. We owe this book to an unnamed guardian who kept safe the far western borders of a country, Zhou in the fifth century BC. The legend says that exhausted from misunderstanding Teacher with a tired heart went on his last journey - to die in a dessert. The guardian recognized great Lao Tzu, called him by name and, nobody knows how, persuaded the wise man to tell a world about Dao and De.

Excellent easy to understand translation of the Tao te Ching
I have read a few different Tao te Chings and I find this version to not take any embellishment at all. It strikes me as a word for word translation utterly focused on giving you the direct meaning of the original copy. Due to this sometimes it can lose some of its feeling: other versions I have read can have a tendency to be far more encouraging whereas this one is more focused on accuracy. I think this is the most accurate version but perhaps a bit dry so to speak. If you want an accurate translation this is exceptional.

The narrative was well done, I just had some struggles understanding the Tao. But you can Google the
chapters and find translation on the 81 chapters.
