Loved this book!
Oh my goodness! I came across this book because I was looking for a new Southern writer. This book was on sale and I thought the title was funny so I said what the heck and bought it. I didn't really expect a whole lot from the book, but being from the southwest originally and having lived in New England most of my adult life, I get homesick sometimes and love a good dose of southernism every now and then, and it seemed like this just might hit the spot. Yes, indeed! It did that and more! I laughed out loud a lot! and it was just what I needed! I adore southern women for their feistiness and outspokenness, and I do miss them so much. But now I don't have to because I found the Sweet Potato Queens and I'm going to read all of their books! Long live the Sweet Potato Queens!

Just have a good time
Ladies (and brave gentlemen) whenever life is getting too serious, just put on any Sweet Potato Queens book and giggle, smile, or smirk your way to a better mood. It's like sharing stories with that one friend who can always be counted on for her irreverance, total support, and just enough four letter words to keep the conversation interesting. This book won't change your life, but it sure will improve your mood.
