A surfer of 45 years I’ve understood the beauty of what mother nature has to offer. Going through life trials, and tribulations have shown me how small I am, and how mighty I can be. I have read and listened to a lot of self help, inner focused books and they seem to all have the same info. The Surfer and the Sage brings a new perspective that I enjoyed so much I plan to listen to the book again. Here is a quote that really resonated with me “When you win win like a gentleman when you lose lose like a man”. Love that and many more insights in this book. A must grab and read book for sure.

I rarely write a review on any of the numerous books I have read throughout the years.

"The Surfer and the Sage" is more than an eye-opener or two individuals sharing their life perspectives. The authors allow the readers to conduct a self-assessment of their own lives every step (chapter) of the way. You can't ignore it - they empower the reader by letting them know "courage is not the absence of fear, but how we wrestle with fear." Conducting a self-assessment takes courage in and of itself because many of us refuse to realize that wrestling with our fears is the first step to "true humility."
