Wonderful Story
This is truly the best of The Chesapeake series so far! I can't put it down. I have an insatiable desire to find out what is going to happen next! I highly recommend it!

The Summer Garden
Entertaining series. Interesting character arcs in this book. Family, friends, love, acceptance, forgiveness. A gamut of emotions.
If not for my thoughts above the following storyline would have been enough for me not to continue with series. The evil wh*re was never terminated as stated would happen in prior book. Still running around spreading her evil. Otherwise good men continuing to make excuses for her complete psychopathology. And women putting up with it! That storyline continues to play out unforgivably. Thankfully in this entire series i think she’s the only truly nasty woman. I hate conniving Wh*res & steer away from books like that. A woman can be far worse than a man in cruelty & conniving. Anyway, the story continued and minus her, I did enjoy it.

Tired of Moira
I love Susan’s books; however, I was tired of Moira and her frustrating and defeatist attitude about half way through.
I worked my way through the audible knowing a happy ending was to come, yet I feel sorry for Luke having to live with her!!!
