Solid All Around

This book was very much written in the same formula Rick Riordan used before he got overly political. I really enjoyed this book. It's always entertaining to hear about a new set of "gods" and mythology, as I was unfamiliar with Aztec lore. This book was easy to read with no real dead points...There were enough characters to get to fully know, but not too many to make your head spin. The narrator was also very solid and a good fit to the story. I haven't read JC Cervantes before but definitely will read more by her going forward.

I enjoyed the book because I found it to be entertaining and it kept my attention. I would recommend this book for 6th graders or anyone interested in the Mayan gods.

the plot is easy to follow and an absolute joy to read. It's a blend of Mayan myth with a hilarious character arrangement. I absolutely can't wait for the next book!

a magical thriller for kids

a great on the edge of your seat book. my kids 5 & 10 yrs old truly enjoyed the book. it kept them quiet and engulfed in the story. it definitely has a interesting story line about a group of people with magical powers. it all starts with a boy who needs a babysitter and she takes him on a adventure of a day. the boy learns he has magical powers and slowly meets his relatives while learning about trust and the importance of it.
this book may be about magic but it is filled with lessons of good morals & learning lessons.

I fell in love with the characters and the plot. It made me feel real emotions, and with all the twists and turns, and the perspective at the end, it was perfect. Can’t wait to read Fire Keeper!!!🎉
