Never let Eric G. Dove near a book again

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

While the concept and story are really quite good, this book was incredibly difficult to listen to as the Narrator completely butchered the natural cadence of human speech. Spitting words and sentences as if reading for a slam poetry competition, Dove seems to have no concept of the purpose of punctuation to denote pauses, breaks, and the flow of language.

Would you be willing to try another one of Eric G. Dove’s performances?

yes it was a little fast but good. the one correction is that they said Edgar Cayce Name wrong they said Case & not Cayce. it is pronanced like Kay-See. i hope you can correct this.

it's ok to change the narrator, but ...

How did the narrator detract from the book?

the narrator pronounced characters differently that the previous 3 books. totally distracting. "tur-cut" vs "tur-caught". "naabenger" vs "nae-benger", etc...

normal fun "area 51" book. if you liked the others, this is about the same. not as good as books 1 & 2, though...

Very good but I have one qualm...

I found this book series by accident but being the slight sci-fi nerd that I am I was slightly hooked after listening to the first book. This is the fourth book in the series and I will say they are a lot of fun to listen to. the biggest issue I have with this particular book is not so much the story itself but the fact that they changed the reader of the book. the first three books were performed excellently and while this one was red fairly well, changing the person that reads the book made it very hard for me to stick with this one. also this particular reader or performer seemed Limited in his ability to perform multiple characters much less language and Regional accents. I slowly got accustomed towards the last quarter of the book but changing out the performers this for a long in the series is like changing all of the actors in a movie, it may be the same character but the actor is what gives them their personality.

disappointed

performance was disappointing. key characters name pronounced completely different than the 1st 3 books. speed was to fast to allow time to visualize the description. Don't waste your money on this audio.

Great story

Loved the story line however changing narrator's in the middle of the series made it a little more difficult to follow. I will finish out the series.

Regret starting listening to this audio series!

Sorry I wasted my credits listening to this audio series. I will not purchase or listen to any other books by Bob Mayer in the future. I do not purchase or listen to Syfy stories to be bombarded by left-wing propaganda, if I wanted that for entertainment I would simply turn on CNN or CNBC. In this book Mayer actually compared Donald Trump to Joseph Stalin who was a Communist Dictator who was responsible for the death of over 30 million of his own people. Everyone has the right to their opinion but that doesn't mean we have to pay to hear it!

Terrible Narrator

Narration is terrible. I will have to buy a copy of the book to finish the story.

The narrator is terrible. I am going to have to buy a copy of the book or change to another series.

The narrator made my ears bleed. Just terrible

The narrator is terrible. white noise would have been better.
