Excellent story and novel worth the read

Fantastic story!
I loved how different the story line is that I had expected. Kept me on the edge of my seat. Wonderful job by one of my favorite authors.

Loved it!
This book is well written. The characters are well developed in the ones that matter, but there are so many more stories to be told from this little community. This tale is unique from most period pieces, it's not overly depressing, or sickly sweet in it's telling but you feel the harshness of life and the joy of God's blessings. I will seek this author in the future and I look forward to seeing what she comes up with next. This narrator is also one of my favorites.

Inspiring/Moving
I really enjoyed this novel. The characters were interesting & written well. It's so refreshing & inspiring to read a story rooted in faith & reliance on God. I can't wait to read more stories from this author.

Love and faith of teacher refreshing. Dedicated pastor. Very clean. Great story. Good performance also.
Great story of mountain people in Kentucky. Good descriptions of people and places. Endurance through hardships. Good narrator.
