Very poor narration

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. It is a great story and moves along quickly.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Silent Corner?

When she goes to the house and meets the girl who has had her brain altered.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Elisabeth Rodgers?

Almost anyone. The narration modulated from hardly being able to hear her to her almost yelling. When wearing headphones it is a very distracting quality.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Dean Koontz had created very memorable characters, but develops a scary story that makes one wonder if this could happen.

Once again he takes a wild idea and makes it seem possible. At least I hope it was a wild idea!

If it was not on audio i would have never got though the book. Good story but it drags on for ever and never finishes the story. very disappointed with the ending.

I enjoyed Watcher but this is really great. At first it seemed slow but then it really took off.

You'll be drawn into a story so suspenseful

If you've ever read a Dean Koontz novel you're more than aware Dean always writes to keep you wanting more during story. Listening to this novel makes me feel as if I'm watching the action in place, the way he describes certain places in Southern California where I currently live makes want to visit the city's he's described in the book so I can visualize what he wrote.

To Dean Koontz, keep those exciting novels coming, you already created an addiction inside of me to want more novels from you

Slow start, disappointing ending

Love a good Koontz story. Sadly, this was not one of them. The narrators voice is grating and incapable of creating discernable male characters. The storyline drags on and on with little payoff to an unsatisfactory ending.

Mediocre

Not a Koontz book. Where was the suspense? Not a good storyline,, and it set up to be a serial. They need to get better ghostwriters

Dean never disappoints!

I loved this book alber became wi lost in it from the 1st chapter. I wanted more by the time it was over.

Not really believable

We love Dean Koontz but this particular story seems to be missing a couple of essential elements. first the primary story is about a Nano robotic technology used to take over the minds of people but it is really more of a future sci-fi story then his typical Thriller. It would be easier to suspend disbelief if he had placed this story at a few hundred years into the future. The second thing that's missing is this authors signature spiritual death and clarity. In fact he seems to be going the opposite direction with a very negative attitude about the nature of reality and the potential for future joy and Awakening. This is one of the things we appreciate most about this author, especially the way he worked it into books like innocence and the Odd Thomas series. We purchased the second book in the series already and we'll give it a chance to see if it improves.

I am torn between panning this book or praising it. To me, the characters were pretty much the bland and stereotypical types. However the story line picked up as the story progressed. overall, the book is worth the story... in the second half. It would make an interesting series... if done right.
