A twisty mystery that will keep you guessing

I really enjoyed Colin Conway's Cozy mysteries so I began looking for other audio books by him. The Cozy's were fun and good short mysteries, but this was much more involved with a wide range of characters and potential killers. Quinn Delaney and his partner, Marci Burkett, are homicide detectives called to the scene of a death. Is it murder or an accident? With the help of Kerby, the dead man's friend and fellow finance management blogger, they begin to unravel a Gordian knot of crooked people, twisted schemes and a lot of reasons Kidwell might have been murdered.
I enjoyed the side stories that gave the characters dimension and made them real too. Quinn is a good detective, works hard, but has his issues. He is someone I think I would like in real life. Marci is funny, but a little over the top in the beginning. I liked her better by the end of the story. I'm looking forward to getting to know them better over the next few books -I bought the remaining books that have been recorded for Audio after reading this book. I hope they keep recording!
Damon Abdallah did a great job with the voices and the timing, keeping the story moving, but also giving you time to move through the information with the detectives.

Great Twists and Turns

This was a fast paced story with great twists and turns. I really enjoyed the narrator.

Loved the story line

I really enjoyed this book. The storyline was quite good. And there was humor throughout with Marci the detectives partner. I really had a lot of moments of laughing. I highly suggest this book.

Great plot

Slow moving in the beginning but quickly gets good momentum and characters formed to provide a great ending.
