Loved it!

A wonderful listen about family all trying to figure life out together. Secrets, sneakiness, important info not shared, health issues, wanting to be strong and independent, years and years of pent up guilt and some wonderful love stories thrown in. Such a great listen.

This is the first Thayne novel I have listened to or read. The setting is beautiful. I often select stories with a seashore background.
The characters are well developed, but quite predictable, but I enjoyed getting to know each of them.

However, the author uses coarse language that I found unnecessary and distracting to the serene setting. Although Thayne refers to biblical ideas, some of her characters state philosophies that are opposed to biblical truths,

I almost stopped reading when I encountered the first coarse word, but I wanted to give the novel a fair chance.
The narrator is superb!
Will I choose another Thayne novel? Probably not.

Ms. Thayne never disappoints! I couldn't stop listening! I started the audiobook one afternoon and listened all the way through!

Wonderful Story

This book should definitely be a Hallmark Movie!!! Very sweet story. An easy listen while I knit and relaxed. Looking forward to to many more.

why did the the voice for a 54 year old woman sound like she was 80?

Nothing special

Sweet story that could have been told in 1/3 of the time. It dragged into silly details. Could space out for a while and not miss anything

A Great "feel good" book! Especially if you like happy endings! I loved it!

I have listened to several of RaeAnne Thayne books. This one did not disappoint me. Would have liked to read a sequel to this family or the area. Very comforting families and town. Something very interesting for me to hear about towns by the ocean, I guess, because I alway wanted to have this for my own. life. Have given this six stars across the board as it did not have swearing, vivid sexual scenes and did have just different interesting twists and turns.

same samo - books all the same

Like I wrote on the last two, the stories are sounding exactly the same. if you're new to this author, enjoy. once you're hooked on the characters, 12 books in, it's like a script. kinda like reading a mad lib sheet. woman's name, man's name, conflict: CHARACTERS CAN'T BE TOGETHER NO MATTER WHAT, Location: coming home, never thought i would but missed it. I love it here. Timeline: 2-3 weeks.... yep every story has them fall in love, can't live without you in 2-3 WEEKS... NOT MONTHS OR YEARS... WEEKS!!! EVERY STORY. WHO DOES THAT at that ratio? I almost can't listen anymore or have to fast fwd bc I know what's coming. to include REPITITIOUS MONOLOGS!!!!

Enjoyed

I love all of her stories and have been a fan since the beginning. This is a favorite because we get the opportunity to discover so much about the individual characters. They each get their opportunity to shine in this story. Love how we get to go on the journey of the friendship.
