Pathetic
I wanted to listen to a book with insight, not listen to a book written with the level of detail normally saved for a book cover.
NOT WORTH IT!!!!

The Savvy Networker
If you are an employee and are literally starting from square one to expand your influence, this is for you. As a professional who has good experience in customer service, business operation and self-employment, this was going back to elementary school. Positive... I picked up one sound bite I can use. Don't waste your time if you have been in the business world for a few years.

In Like A Lion, Out Like A Dead Horse
I am highly disappointed with this book. It starts out with some promise lasting for around 12 minutes. After that you begin to realize that there are 3 big problems. First, the language is stilted, impersonal, and professorial. Concepts are expressed in abstract language that obscures the ideas presented. The second problem is that while the book provides a lot of theory, it provides little practical application. We are told repeatedly of the value of networking as a skill, but there is no help to be found on the subject of how to create such a network. The final problem is that the reader makes the book sound like a perky sales pitch. Most of her sentences seem to end in exclamation points. I think her reading would appear as bolded text if it were represented visually. My overall response to the book is annoyance and then boredom. If you want help with your networking or people skills, try another book. This one is not worth your dime or your time.
