The Riverton Case A Rachel Markham (Mystery Book Three) –Set in 1947, England and India. Jeremy and Rachel set sail for Indian shores on the behest of a fabulously wealthy Indian Maharajah, to solve a case, unlike anything they’ve encountered before. The journey takes them through the lives of Indian Royalty and gives them a fascinating glimpse into the charmed life of British India.
Rachel and Jeremy must travel back in time to 1945, towards the end of an Era of the British Raj to solve the baffling murder of a beautiful young English woman – Kitty Riverton who was found murdered in a marble folly, on the grounds of the magnificent Dharanpore Palace. They must also race against time to retrieve the spectacular Royal ruby necklace, ‘The Pride of Dharanpore’, which went missing, on the night of the murder. Their investigation takes them through the murky labyrinth of Palace intrigues and politics, where nothing is as it seems and motives abound.

5.0 out of 5 stars A highly intelligent and fun game of Clue, April 16, 2015 By TFLReader
I just love a good mystery and author PB Kolleri has put together a great mystery series here with her "Rachel Markham Mystery Series". I love British characters and stories, and particularly ones that are fast-paced and keep me guessing until the end. This was one of those for sure. If you are an Agatha Christie fan or just love a good mystery, don't pass up this engaging series.
5.0 out of 5 stars Love the Rachel Markham series, April 24, 2014 By Doreen Farley
I love mysteries post world war 2! I enjoyed the character of Rachel Markham very much. A delightful and cozy read.
A great surprise, March 14, 2013 By Bookworm
this book was a wonderful surprise. Lots of charming characters that you will fall in love with--whether they are good guys or bad. The setting is fabulous--you feel right at home in the beautiful homes and their gorgeous surroundings in England. This is a terrific page-turner that you won't be able to put down.
Great English manor house mystery!!, February 16, 2013 By David Malmberg
Really enjoyed it! Reminded me of Agatha Christie at her best.
5.0 out of 5 stars A Cozy And Fun Read, February 19, 2013 By L.I. LINDA (LI NY)
This book reads like a P.B.S. television mystery series. I am an Anglophile and enjoyed every page. I highly recommend it to lovers of all things British.
A SPECIAL NOTE TO AMERICAN READERS: Please note that all spellings are in British English.
Words like humour, colour, flavour, among others, are not "misspelled" or mistakes in editing, as a few reviewers have pointed out. That's just how these words are written in British English. Also, British colloquialisms from the 1940s have been sprinkled liberally throughout the book, which are not editing errors but deliberately infused through the historical storyline, without which much of its charm would have been lost. We hope you will enjoy this whodunit for its own English flavour and its signature dry British humour.
