In a world filled with mythical beasts and battles, one young boy is on a quest to defeat his greatest enemy, Shame.
Far, far away, yet not too far so as to defy belief, there lies a fantastical world filled with dragons, wargs, and ogres. In this world, a young boy finds solace battling creatures. The boy is determined and brave, using his battles as a way to escape from his worst enemy, one of inner turmoil: Shame. Shame over what he did. Shame over who he was becoming. Shame over his very identity. So, since he couldn't defeat shame, the next best thing were the evil creatures that called him names. The names hurt, because they were true.
Finally, the boy realizes that the only way to truly defeat shame is with The Ring of Truth. Truth about who he really is. Truth about how he is forgiven. Truth about how loved he really is, regardless of what he may have done in the past.
Shame is a powerful enemy, and too many people, especially children, suffer from it. It is debilitating. This story was written from a Christian perspective to remind us of our true identity in Christ: forgiven, whole, and loved.
