A delightful frontier story in space
I have come to realize that Jim's work is good old-fashioned entertainment. He works hard at making sure that there are no glaring science errors that will shove you out of the flow of the story and he makes his characters accessible and identifiable (as in it's not hard to identify with someone in it). One can tell that he has been around the block a time or two and that he has read more than a few old classics. Just honest entertainment that is not pushing any hard messages. Full of folks who want to make their way through life and not be messed with.
I look forward to reading more of this.

Fantastic series
Rim world is a great series , The Rift is a great addition to it. I just wish there were more of them on audio.
