Acerca de esta escucha

As a private investigator, Kathleen Stone relies on her ability to blend into the background. Aided by her street-smart drag queen friend and the best wigmaker in New York City, she feels confident that her camouflage is up to snuff. But when a cheating spouse she's been trailing endsup dead under suspicious circumstances, she fears that someone she angered in her past job - busting gangs and drug dealers as an undercover cop - has seen through her disguises. Now she must work with her former colleagues in the NYPD to solve the case before she's the next victim.

it seemed like the story should have been more interesting, but the narration was flat and uninspired such that it was hard to tell. i haven't listened to many audiobooks yet, but this was the least engaging by far.

This is one of those books where the city is a character in and of itself. I tend to love a story where the plucky heroine solves the murder of the guy no one cares is dead, and this fits perfectly into the niche genre. If you like a little action, a fun mystery, and lovable characters you will love this book. I am looking forward to the next one in the Kathleen/Kate/Kat/Kiki series.
