Narrator = 🔥

An okay retelling of Macbeth, but I didn't feel anything for the characters and felt many important moments were glossed over. HOWEVER, the Narration was great!! I listened to the whole thing purely for the narrator's talent. Can't wait to listen to another book narrated by her!

Incredible performance!

The Queen is Dead is creative retelling of Lady MacBeth’s life, from her perspective. I loved the recentering of her story. Most of all, the performance was phenomenal! I felt like I was in Scotland, listening to the play laid out before me. Lauren Kayler’s performance provides a synergy to the story that only enhances the experience. I highly recommend you give this book a listen, especially if you are a Shakespeare fan.
