The Reverend Curtis Black hasn't spoken to his son, Matthew, in over a year - not since Matthew dropped out of Harvard to marry his girlfriend, Racquel, and be a full-time father to their infant son. Charlotte, convinced he's only after Curtis' money, wishes he would move back to where he came from. Dillon, however, has no intention of going anywhere. After a lifetime in the shadows, he's determined to take his rightful place as Curtis's first-born son and heir, and he'll do whatever it takes to win his father's affection - even if it means playing dirty....

As jealousy builds and secrets pile up, both of Curtis' sons will be pushed over the edge and forced to take drastic action. Can these two troubled young men find their way back into the Black family fold? Or will their family ties be undone once and for all?

this book was good to read and I love it so much And thank my God

The Prodigal Son

Here we are, another amazing book. The only thing about this book, was the narrator . He was good, but when he spoke the women’s voice , wasn’t too good for me. Maybe I got so used to the previous narrators and books. Clearly did a wonderful job speaking the men voices, it was just the women. But read very well.

The Black family drama is in full effect.

Another excellent work from Ms Lawson Roby! It went traversed a new level when Raquel snapped! Narration wasn't the best; voice didn't fit with the black characters.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Prodigal Son to be better than the print version?

I would. For me, listening to the audio edition tends to bring the book to life.

What does Peter Jay Fernandez bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

At first, I didn't care for his voice, however the story line was brilliant and it made bearable to listen to him.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Matthew came back home.

great book. can't wait for the next one and maybe we will hear more about Dylan Whitfield Black.

Another great one

Met my expectations great as usual love pastor black . His children keep his world turning glad this time it wasn't the wife.

This book kept my attention from the beginning to the end. All her books are good.

Awesome

This was an awesome way of keeping the story line going. The ending was fulfilling in the way it should have ended by bringing consequences to the person it should have gone to.

Great Narrator!

This was a good series. Glad to hear Curtis and Charlotte’s adult son Matthew life also,Dillion his eldest son, he is a real character.

Nice Addition to the Series

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite character in this book was Matthew. I feel like I have watched him grow up. It was nice to see him as a young man.

Who was the most memorable character of The Prodigal Son and why?

The most memorable character was Matthew's wife. I enjoyed the direction that they went with her being crazy due to post partum depression. Nice twist.

Unpopular Opinion

I sympathized with Dylan BEFORE he snapped. Initially, he just wanted what he’s been missing; a fathers love and attention. Curtis could’ve tried to include him more…. $500,000 doesn’t buy a relationship. Overall, Dylan got what he deserve. Why scheme when he could’ve just expressed his feelings with his father. I’ll skip over Charlotte because I STILL haven’t gotten over her double standards and conniving ways lol. LOVE LOVE LOVE the series. I listen while driving, working, cooking, etc. Excellent job Mrs. Roby!
