love this book

Loved meeting the author at fanx he's a great story teller in person. So of course his books are going to be amazing.

He has about 7 different books and all of them can be read separately from one another but are all content. Can't wait to get the next book.

I hope he'll narrate more of his books as well.

Hard to put down

Having personally met the author recently and listening to his intro, I can easily see the comments he and others make. I enjoyed the simple magic system and look forward to other books as he expands the world. Others have also commented on quite a bit of moral pondering and this book does have strong amount of it. That being said, I enjoyed this coming of age story with a twist on the usual good guy wins with some struggle. What keep me interested was the pace and building of characters. I would have loved to see a little more depth on some main characters and hope this comes later in the series.

I finished it in one shot

I love a good fantasy fiction with strong character development and moral dilemmas. I also really enjoy when writers narrate their own stories because you can feel their love for their characters. Clearly this book is written to setup future books. I look forward to listening to more of the story when they become available on Audible.

Good story.

I liked it. A fascinating story idea. The readers voice can drone sometimes making it difficult to follow.

Fascinating Story concept

I loved the concept for the story above all, It is so unique but easy to grasp. I also loved hearing it narrated by the author as it feels as if we get to see exactly how he wanted the characters to sound! Overall loved it!!

Most original idea I've ever heard

Really enjoyed the book. Narrator was great, story was extremely original kept me guessing the entire time. Lance Conrad is a great author.

Wonderful story

I love the narrator, he offers a unique brand of wisdom and the humor makes me smile. I loved hearing the voices of the characters as the author intended through his own voice.
