Vander & Brynn were made for each other. I was a little leary about the story to begin with. I'm not much for biker stories in general. Most of the time it seems there isn't much difference between bikers & gangs except the mode of transportation. They are both very scary. This club was no different. There are several edge of your seat moments.

The story was a good one in any case and had excellent narration.

Action Packed Romance

4.5 stars. I first came across Vander Norcross in the Billionaire Heists series. This Audiobook did not disappoint, especially with Stella Bloom and Teddy Hamilton as narrators. Brynne and Vander are a crime-fighting couple (on the grey side) who will quickly become of your favorites.

Nope 😞

I couldn't wait for Vanders story but ... I wish so much Brynn could have been better . Her arrogance and know it all attitude really messed it up for me. Why oh why did he get this self righteous women ? Now I love all the series that Anna Hacket writes that I've listened to and I have gone back and listen to almost all of them at least twice some even more. But this one I just can't handle . I'm so disappointed in this one. I know Vander needed a strong women to match him but not her. She is so judgemental about Vander heck she wasn't even honest with her cousin when she needed help because she was a woman and was proving herself. How stupid and her arrogance caused a lot of problems for Vander and his team. But even when warned by others about danger she was in , nope she didn't listen.
Others may like this but it wasn't for me.

Vander!

After enjoying all the other Norcross family members finding their other half, we finally get to see who can match up to Vander Norcross.

Enter Brynn Sullivan, undercover detective. Bad@!$ in her own right, she is strong enough not to cower before Vander, giving him back as much as he gives her.

Love the chemistry and push/ pull between these two as they struggle to take down bad guys, fight their attraction, and end up with a mighty satisfying ending.

I have been waiting for Vander's story and it didn't disappoint. All of the Norcross Security books have been awesome, fun reads.

This is a great match!

Vander Norcross has always come across as ‘standoffish’…turns out that he just hadn’t met a woman that intrigued him. Until he meets Brynn…the detective is about to go undercover in a motorcycle gang to find out who’s responsible for distributing a dangerous street drug. Sparks fly as the pair team up to bring down the drug dealer…lots of sparks! Whew! Great chemistry and great story.

well worth the wait!

I loved the story when I first read it and the audible version only improved what was already near perfect.

Vander Norcross has demons from his past that have made serious relationships impossible for him to even think about. He is fiercely protective of anyone that he cares about, but somehow he has deemed himself as unlovable because of the things he has had to do in the past. He doesn’t want to be vulnerable to those who wish to hurt him or retaliate against him, and loving a woman would make him vulnerable. As a result, his protective nature puts him at odds with Detective Brynn Sullivan, who has made it her mission to infiltrate a biker gang. The bikers are providing tainted drugs to the people of San Francisco, and young people are dying. Vander’s job is to get her access to that gang, and he is having a hard time accepting her mission. He does what he can to make sure she is protected, and there are a few times when he arrives with impeccable timing, but Brynn is pretty tough as well. She can take care of herself, and she sees within Vander and sees a lovable man. But she wants a partner who respects her abilities and skills, and Vander is so used to taking care of others, that it sometimes causes tension.

There is a good form of tension in this book. It keeps readers invested in the outcome, but it isn’t so tense that readers need to walk away to breathe. There is a mystery to be solved—namely, which gang member is responsible for importing the tainted drugs—and there are multiple challenges to be faced, but it all adds up to a fast-paced story that grabs readers from the start. It’s fun, it’s fast-paced, and it’s awkward at times, but Brynn is the perfect match for Vander in so many ways. And Vander is perfect for Brynn as well, because she is strong enough to handle him in all the best ways!

These two narrators do an excellent job of bringing this story to life. Stella Bloom and Teddy Hamilton are consistent in the way they portray each of the protagonists. The recording quality is superior and the narrators are able to make different characters sound like they actually are different characters. This story flows beautifully, and the narrators are a big part of that. Well done!
