I have spoken to a great many people over the last year or so about this very subject, and it seems to me it's a very real concern for people of all ages.

But when you take back control, you will find positive things start to happen. You will feel your confidence and optimism returning - the real "you" starts to reappear - and you can enjoy life to the full again.
It isn't easy, of course. It's a big challenge, requiring great strength and commitment. You will almost certainly have bumps in the road along the way, with disappointments and setbacks. But, if you stay strong, the prize at the end of it, can be life-changing. And a prize it really is. Love, happiness, and success are the essential elements we are all looking for.
They are out there. Believe it, because it's true. And they are out there, right now. Just waiting for you to scoop them up and take them home.
I was in a dark place a little while ago. A very bad place that you might recognize.
My life was literally wall-to-wall disappointment and worry. I had been emotionally hurt, could not shake off the negativity, and I found I was making decisions out of fear because I had little or no confidence. Then, something very special happened, late one Thursday evening in January last year.
God spoke to me. "I have the solution", he said. "Surrender. And let me take control".
It was so simple that for the first few days, I struggled with it. Then, suddenly it became crystal clear to me. Surrendering to God helped me free myself from the worries of the past and the fears of the future.
It was the best decision I have ever made in my life.
The Power of Surrender is my story. It is a book that will show you the way forward. It will help you supercharge your life and renew your mind. It will give you the energy and desire to demolish the walls of fear that have been surrounding you for so long.

A typical prayer goes something like this: "Please help us find the money to pay our mortgage this month." Saying the prayer may help you feel like the burden of that month's mortgage has been lifted, but the part of you that feeds on fear will simply seek out new financial worries to keep you awake at night. Old patterns remain intact.
In contrast, asking, "Please heal my fear-based thoughts about our mortgage" lifts the burden and relieves the need to re-create that fear and hold onto it.

Has given a new perspective
I loved this book. I will listen again and again when things come up. If you’re having difficulty letting go of something, this book is for you. I always knew my hanging on to something would not affect the other person, yet did not realize the affect it would have on me. Truly going to use this book to do it. Realizing perhaps God has another plan. Gave me so much peace.

For control freaks
I never thought I was a control freak at all. That is I thought planning was the thing to do until I was hit by a car. It is indeed a life changing experience where I had no control. The phrase "let go and let God" was something I expoused but did not live.It has brought me back to living the spiritual life. Can I control external activities or thoughts? No I can control my reaction . Sometimes it means radical acceptance. Despite all the bad thing occurring my anxiety and faith has increased. Thank God for bad things because it brings me closer to spirit. The examples in this book spoke to my past experiences. They are not in the present moment. The longer I hold onto the hot coal only thing that happens is that I get burned. Indeed surrender and acceptance are key to life.
