Great Rendition
Mr. Theis’ voice was made to read Poe stories. He once again does a great job bringing voice the terror and fear that Poe so wonderfully wrote. This rendition includes sounds that further add to the creepiness of the story. It is a great addition to any Poe or horror collection.
Also, if you want to increase the terror…read it once, then read it again and slowly increase the speed of the narration as the story continues. Enjoy!

One of the best!
As a big fan of Poe, I was a little hesitant to listen to his classic.. I've always thought that My narration was good enough. But Mr. Theis does a great job bringing Poe's macabre details to light! Well done, Sir!

Great Narration!
The Pit and the Pendulum is a classic tale of horror, one of Poe's best. This is my first time listening to the story instead of reading it, and the performance really lets you drink in every well placed word. This audio version is a dramatic read with subtle sound effects throughout. They really added to the story and became part of it. I listened to it in broad daylight and still had the shivers. Well done.

Awesome Classic
What can I say, It's Edgar Allan Poe...This is a very chilling story taken in 1478 during the Spanish Inquistion in which the monarchy used extremely brutal methods towards prisoners....The music and the sound effects put a very nice touch on this audiobook,,,, Kevin Theis did an excellent job of narrating...I received this audiobook for free at my request and this is my voluntary review.
