Great yarn

Where does The Odessa File rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Frederick Forsyth, Jack Higgens, Bernard Cornwell to name a few are 'Big Boys Own Adventure' stuff. Not too much detail to bog you down, but just enough to keep the pace flowing. A pleasant experience this audiobook.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The Werewolf is so good. Got to love it when a baddy is written up so well.

What about David Rintoul’s performance did you like?

Excellent performance; with accents, style of speech and his consistency.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

When the past catches up with you it won't knock on the door, it may well be kicked in.

Any additional comments?

It is great to see how a major character does not necessary cause all effects but is important to events that he has no idea he is effecting. Lovely writing.

Brilliant

This outstanding story of historical fiction is a must. It brings the reality of the workings of the SS in the holocaust to vivid life. Frederick Forsyth is a Master storyteller. I cannot recommend this book enough.

Still the most gripping novel ever

The Odessa file is the only book with I have ever had difficulties to put it down. The story compells to read further.

A master of suspence

Forsyte knows how to tell a story based on historical events and is a master of suspence. I highly recommend. David Rintool is excellent as usual.

the account of a journalist who chase the nazi criminal eduard rossman. Full of Real data about his whereabout un Argentina.

A great novel, excellent plot in typical Frederick Forsyth style, very well read and presented. I can thoroughly recommend it.

no, the diary entry and the war detail were too long

i enjoyed the story but it seemed( not true but seemed ) as if the Nazi war stories took up half the story. In my opinion, it was too much, too long.
Without it, the story would be nice but perhaps some people would feel it was too short.
Not all the extra layers were necessary, i think.

classic moving unputdownable

Somehow I missed this when growing up. it's a great work of fiction based on many real events and people. It will change your life. The descriptions of the Nazi death camps are harrowing.
