Michael Magister is back from the dead and Phoebe Le Breton has never been more alive, both are planning on a brighter, quieter future.
But with the Special Branch hot on their trail and the Black Bishop dispatching his most brutal assassins, Michael and Phoebe’s world is about to be tragically ripped apart.
Only a mild-mannered medium and her spirit guide, Nostradamus, know for certain what life will bring–or take away. And when two astronomers are found dead at the Royal Observatory, Greenwich...are the causes natural...or Supernatural?
Scotland Yard’s Head of the Special Branch, Superintendent William Melville, needs once again to "send for the magicians"–but has their time run out?
The Nostradamus Curiosity is the third Steam, Smoke & Mirrors murder mystery featuring the slick, wise-cracking, crime-solving Steampunk Music Hall illusionists Michael Magister and Phoebe Le Breton, and threatens to be their most terrifying, nail-biting adventure yet.
But will it be their last? The clock is ticking...but is time going forwards…..or backwards?

Historia
The orphaned Elsie Camden learned as a girl that there were two kinds of wizards in the world: those who pay for the power to cast spells and those, like her, born with the ability to break them. But as an unlicensed magic user, her gift is a crime. Commissioned by an underground group known as the Cowls, Elsie uses her spellbreaking to push back against the aristocrats and help the common man. Elite magic user Bacchus Kelsey is one elusive spell away from his mastership when he catches Elsie breaking an enchantment. To protect her secret, Elsie strikes a bargain.

Newly returned from finishing school, Lady Juliette Thorndike is ready to debut in London society. Due to her years away, she hasn't spent much time with her parents, and sees them only as the flighty, dilettante couple the other nobles love. They've been living double lives as government spies-and they're only the latest in a long history of espionage that is the family's legacy.

Flann O'Brien's most popular and surrealistic novel concerns an imaginary, hellish village police force and a local murder.
Weird, satirical, and very funny, its popularity has suddenly increased with the mention of the novel in the TV series Lost.

Wow - this book is the best!
The Nostradamus Curiosity is the 3rd Steam, Smoke and Mirrors novel by Colin Edmonds. It starts at full speed and doesn’t stop! Michael and Phoebe are consulting for Scotland Yard’s Special Branch investigating murder, assassinations, and corruption. Add time travel to the scenario and this novel is a heart stopping adventure! I hope there are more to come. The narration by Karl Jenkinson is absolutely perfect. His professional performance creates unique voices for the many characters, with appropriate accents and inflections. He brings the characters and story to life.

From one Problem to Another
Having listened to 3 Audible books in a row by this author (this one being the third) though I enjoyed them, they were getting redundant.
Narrator does a good job with the characters and Storyline.
