Mild Spoilers... Not sure I get all of the four and five star reviews for this one. It’s a pretty standard fare paint by numbers thriller. In fact, I thought maybe I’d read the wrong book because neither the title or tagline make any sense with what actually happens in this book. And it says there’s a “heart stopping twist” but unless I missed something, the big reveal is fairly dull.

Once I got into it, I loved it!
This was a really well written book. It took me a minute to get into it and embrace the characters, but I think that just shows good character development. I would have liked a little more insight into the day to day existence of Debbie while she was missing, but the point was clearly made. I just couldn't stand the narration for the little boy - it was always so whiny, shrill, spoiled, entitled. It could have been more gentle, like a small boy would be at times. But it was really good!

Great story! Kept my attention and I couldn’t wait to find out what happens next. Little disappointed in the epilogue, they kind of left you hanging with what happens to the victim and family. Still highly recommend. Narrator was perfect. Will be listening to the whole series.
