Now Carl just needs to learn how magic works, which monsters are safe to eat, and why his hoard is so important to him. Dealing with everything changing is hard enough, but he has enemy dragons incoming, hostile environments, and foes constantly trying to get bragging rights by taking down a dragon.

A Calamitous Conclusion
As an ending to the Erth Dragon series, it was certainly a raising of the stakes compared to past books. I enjoyed my time knowing these characters and following the drama of this imaginative world, however something about this book finished more bittersweetly than I had hoped.
Worth the read if you are invested in the series, even if it leaves you wishing for more... and maybe thinking about what could be.
