Acerca de esta escucha
Public speaking is something we all do every day - when we talk to friends and family, when we speak on the phone with colleagues or superiors, and of course, when we make formal presentations. Yet most of us think of public speaking exclusively in terms of formal speeches and the ubiquitous stage fright that must accompany such performances.
Now, in a groundbreaking new book that is easy to digest, the author reveals some tricks of the trade designed to help you relax as you face your most significant foe: you.
Speaking is the natural birthright of human beings; yet we have learned to shy away from our best qualities. Some of it is self-imposed; some is acquired fear.
Banish that fear now. Learn how to be a natural speaker!

In what doesn't sound like the best plan ever, David decided to overcome his fears by pretending to be a comedian called "Irish Dave" for one full year, crashing as many comedy clubs, festivals, and shows as possible.

In Joel's Schwartzberg's 10-plus years as a strategic communications trainer, the biggest obstacle he's come across - one that connects directly to nervousness, stammering, rambling, and epic fail - is that most speakers and writers don't have a point. They typically have just a title, a theme, a topic, an idea, an assertion, a catchphrase, or even something much less. This book shows you how to identify your point, leverage it, stick to it, and sell it and how to train others to identify and successfully make their own points.

If you’re like most of us, you openly admire and, maybe, secretly envy those who can stand fearlessly in front of a crowd and deliver an inspiring speech effortlessly. But what if you could be one of these chosen few? What if you could make your message clear and powerful and turn passive listeners into excited followers? Yes, you can do it even if you’re introverted. If you think that you’re “just not cut out for public speaking”, stop and think again. Don’t let your amazing ideas wither away unheard.

Why have history's greatest minds - from George Washington to Frederick the Great to Ralph Waldo Emerson along with today's top performers, from Super Bowl-winning football coaches to CEOs and celebrities - embraced the wisdom of the ancient Stoics? Because they realize that the most valuable wisdom is timeless and that philosophy is for living a better life, not a classroom exercise. The Daily Stoic offers a daily devotional of Stoic insights and exercises, featuring all-new translations.

Less than happy with this one
What would have made The Natural Speaker better?
The reader basically just reads the Toastmaster Manual and throws in a few other comments. I got about 3/4 of the way through and went on to my next book (Art and fear) which is really good. What a disappointment.
What could Yael Eylat-Tanaka have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
It would have been better either by telling the truth about the content or living up to the billing related to the title
Would you be willing to try another one of John Christ’s performances?
The reader for this was not bad and yes, I would try another.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
Because I was already familiar with Toastmasters, I could find nothing redeeming but for someone who was not, perhaps he or she might be motivated to join it or an organization like it.
Any additional comments?
I am just very disappointed by advertising that made it seem so much more than it was.
