Acerca de esta escucha

By listening to this manifesto, I vow to care for my spiritual, mental, and emotional well-being. I vow to free myself from the need to meet others’ expectations, seeking only the approval of Allah (swt) as I pursue a life of purpose and peace. I promise to seek out knowledge, surround myself with positive influences, and engage in practices that nurture my soul. I will remind myself daily that my worth is not defined by the standards of others, but by my devotion to Allah (swt) and the sincerity of my intentions. I will forgive myself for my past shortcomings, knowing that true strength lies in acknowledging my imperfections and striving to improve. I will practice gratitude, recognizing the blessings in every situation, and maintain hope in the face of challenges, trusting in Allah’s (swt) wisdom and mercy.

reference to the Quaran

I liked the poetry within. The layout of the entire book. the flow of it.

Not what it seems

I like that the author challenges what success looks like however I dislike that she pits the stay at home mom against the working mom. As if staying home is the better option or the ideal option. For some women it would literally drive them crazy to stay home and not work.

I also think that in her poetry she makes the assumption that in previous scriptures that Eve was not forgiven when Adam was forgiven. She was and she was also punished for her sin like Adam was punished as well. And if we contend that God is just as He is merciful then that isn’t a hard concept to imagine or accept especially since the Quran does not reject it. They both got the boot out of paradise. So they both suffered together. Adam was given hard labor to produce crops from the land Eve was given hard childbirth, both of which we still encounter to this day. She could stand to leave the digs at the people of the book out of her poetry.

Overall it’s a decent listen.
