Suspense novella

Interesting story about a cold case. This is the first that I've read in this series. I don't know if they interconnect but I didn't feel like I was missing anything. The narration was good,too.

This book had me pissed off until the end of chapter 11 & then a semblance of karma struck.

Somewhat suspenseful romance

As always the story was very well written and narration was very good. It was good to have the story line play out. This was a very clean romance.

Great Addition to series

I have enjoyed this series and this novella has shown another side of former FBI agent Cate Wilde. Her return to her childhood roots of Widow’s Island, has brought her what she was looking for. After being shot at as an agent, it was a difficult decision but she decided to leave
the bureau . A life without the stress & Responsibility of chasing monsters. She is happy in Widow’s Island with her fiancé, the local Doctor. She has rebuilt a new life for herself as a bakery and bookstore owner. So what’s wrong with that? Absolutely nothing until her old boss calls and asks her to speak to the family of one of her unsolved cases. The family refuses to talk with anyone else. It was supposed to be just an interview, but before you know it Cate was down the rabbit hole chasing this monster who 7 yrs prior had kidnapped his daughter and was the cause of his three-year-old dying because he refused medical treatment for her when she was sick. This is a chase you don’t wasn’t to miss! The narrator, Jane Oppenheimer did a great job also!

This novella brings back FBI Special Agent Cate Wilde to assist Deputy Tessa Black in one of Cate’s old cases.
Logan Wilde, park ranger and Cate’s brother, and Dr. Henry Powers, Widow’s Island doctor and coroner and Cate’s fiancée, both help Cate and Tessa as they try to locate a pregnant woman who they suspect is in danger.

Ugh, Cate

Another action packed short story. Although, I have to admit that I just don't like Cate. She makes one poor decision after another.

The Lost Bones

I have really enjoyed this series! Cate left the FBI and retreated to Widow's Island but she has now received a package with a mandible and it appears to be of link to one of her cold cases of a missing child. This brings Cate back into the field as an assistant to the case in hopes of finding the killer before anyone else meets the same fate.
