Indeed Vasari was a prolific,industrious, intelligent ,resourceful writer. He meticulously went through the life of great artists of the renaissance time.

How great to have this translation available for easy listening as audiobook! Really enjoyable also for Italian speakers.

Ungodly Long and Boring!

The narration was in a monotone that put me to sleep, which was a problem since I listen to these audiobooks while I’m driving. The stories can be very interesting if you focus on a specific artist, and I had to skip through it to listen about artists that were of specific interest to me. The chapter on Michelangelo is over four hours long, and while I learned a lot of new things, it really is tedious to listen to.
