Heavy attention required for Arthurian Legend

Language and terms are tough to follow at times and require a dictionary at hand while reading. The legend is one that should be well known and read because classics are cherished by many avid readers.

Tales of knights and fights

This is an interesting collection of battles. The wording is a bit outdated, but I feel it sets the mood appropriately. Anyone who is expecting this to be like any current day writings or film may be disappointed by the style or find it difficult to digest.

Not sure what I expected...

The narration was excellent. They language used was charmingly amusing but I like the show Merlin better 😂

He was fine. The characters were lacking in differentiation

It is interesting how violent children's books of a previous era could be. I'm sure this was used to teach bravery to the young, but what a bizarre, random world of violence it portrays. "Ah, yonder knight, whoever you are, let's fight to the death for no reason whatsoever." This could be subtitled: "Arthur and His Terminators"

This is the best version of King Arther and the knights. You won't regret reading it.

Better than I imagined.

I've never gone through a book on King Arthur, and this was great. I was surprised in a good way by the scenes of a spiritual nature, as these stories are significant in the development of humanity and are really worth our time to live into the pictures presented. There is wisdom behind these depictions.

slow and not what I had anticipated

Glad I got the book under my belt, but I don't plan on revisiting. I'm passionate about this period and Camelot tales, but this was quite taxing to complete.

What did you love best about The Legends of King Arthur and His Knights?

based on "our" childhood rendition of the great King Arthur and various movies you never knew the whole story and how he came into power. how he acquired so much land and knights. i have a long daily commute and the book made my ride much more enjoyable.

What did you like best about this story?

i love how, once a knight is beaten, you would then serve the new king (arthur) if you wanted our life spared. did not realize this too was a way of acquiring new power and the winning knight to gain prestige.

the "full" story about queen guinevere and sir lancelot of the lake. it was a doomed love story but entertaining.

Dry

stories are great but dry. the narrator does not help it much. I found my mind wondering a lot.

It’s ok, definitely room for improvement

I like the story, but there are many things they could improve on especially the narration. I like everything else though.
